I have just tried to place an order for a cd with a company i have never used before.
After the rigmarole of name, card blah-blah-blah i proceed to place my first order. After clicking the "Order here" icon i'm transferred to a page saying i haven't chosen anything yet! Contacting Support of my plight and explaining exactly ALL the necessaty details my reply from them is...."Its your firewall". Short and sweet none the less, i proceed to give TRUSTED zones on my computer and through the security system installed i retry... to no avail.
Recontacting support and explaiming what i have done i recieve a reply of.."well thats what the other customers have said, its the firewall...I dont know anything about computers".
(I guess that means that i should then!)
I then recieve an email saying..theres no problem with our computer system.
I'd just like to say...Thanks for the Support.
Let me update that...they dont have a technical support at support. And they're sorry they cant help me.
I do appreciate that cuz, they're as confused little puppies as i am.

They dont have a phone order line Flam Yes, It gets better as it go's along.
I still have had no reply from the support dept but, I can see the funny side of it.
In a day an age where we are meant to be able to do things easier, a phone order is now out of the question with some companies.
Even with technology moving on. In the uk we used to have our Post delivered two times a day 7-30am for 1st class and 11am for second class.
We now only have ONE delivery a day! and yet, you can still buy 1st and 2nd class stamps.
Are things really moving on? Are the machines making life easier for us? Sometimes i wonder...and other times i just read HOD posts.

You may want to get a phone number and order it the old way if possible.

Well the latest episode in this sad drama on trying to JUST purchase a mere cd as a NEW customer has unfolded.
After a silence of 48hrs i have been emailed BY support and told that,,, they cant help me. now...Theres only one email addy for the place and its only SUPPORT that you're emailing!
After asking politely IF the person could contact the software people about this MINOR and probably easily solved solution by.... someone who knows what they are doing (because this person obviously doesnt) i'm greeted by an email that says:
"Im not responding to your emails" ( Thats weird because obviously this person JUST has! DOH!)
"The problem is with your computer NOT our system" (thats weird too because he/she told me that they know nothing about computers and i ask....HOW does this person know without an electronic diagnosis? DOH!)
It seems its a crime to want to purchase stuff nowadays.....The irony is on the site though, it states..."You will NOT be dissapointed with our service. (But-But..I've just been excommunicated and i havent even made ONE purchase yet!)
Also, if you run your mouse over the Icon for the company in your Fav's column (though it wont be a Fav much longer!) It says....we are better than amazon on service. hmmm....I cant see amazon telling you get take a hike after contacting SUPPORT for SUPPORT!
5/8..if you are reading this drivel then, its at times like these that that-that $8 postage to old Blighty is...... a GOD SEND!!

Latest update on why its hard to purchase from some companies.
Ok..so...not to give up(after being abandonded by support, my only helpline)..i decided for a process of elimination. It turns out that when you purchase from some sites they retrieve some info or something from your comp.
I unenabled the security part from my comp and BINGO....i was able to order! PHEW *wipes brow*
In my excitement i emailed support and explained so that No other unsuspecting poor sole would recieve the same S-hit treatment after only trying to solve a problem. (which they obviously are'nt capable of or care about....though they state that their service is better than amazons!
Being petty (Me that is) they again dissapointed me by not even saying thanks for your help on this one.
And now the piece de la resistance. They have just emailed me, TWO days after placing my orders and have said that....I have giving an Incorrect Zip code and that i will have to re-order!
hmm...thats funny because on checking it out its 100% CORRECT on BOTH accounts! NO MISTAKE on the zip whatsoever. I guess i just aint meant to get Jing chi Live from 'em.
The End. (thank f*ck for that)
